Genting Highland Hotels

Genting Highlandsis a mountain top in the Titiwangsa Mountains on the border between the states of Pahang and Selangor of Malaysia and is home to the famous Genting Highlands Resort, otherwise known as Resorts World Genting which can sometimes be reached by vehicle from Kuala Lumpur in sixty minutes.

It's also accessible by the planet's fastest and South East Asia's longest wire vehicle called Genting Skyway. In 2006, the resort had 18.4 million visitors.Resorts World Genting was set up by the late Lim Goh Tong ( Tan Sri ) in the latter 1960s. Now , this resort is being lead by Lim Goh Tong's boy, Lim Kok Thay ( Tan Sri ) who is also the present president and Boss of Star Cruises. Resorts World Genting is the sister resort to the Resorts World Sentosa and Resorts World Manila. It is often informally known as the Las Vegas of Malaysia, dubbed the " Town of Entertainment " as it has the sole legal land-based casino, Casino de Genting in the country and is run by Genting Malaysia Bhd, a part of Genting Group. Genting Skyway, found at the Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor side of Genting, Malaysia, is presently the planet's fastest and South East Asia's longest wire vehicle system. Its lower station is found near Gohtong Jaya, and its higher station is found at Highlands Hotel of Genting Highlands Resort. It was officially opened in 1997 by the previous P.M.of Malaysia, Mahathir bin Mohammad. The ticket per ride ( one way ) costs RM five. For safety reasons, it undergoes regular upkeep checks. In the upkeep period, visitors to Genting Highlands Resort use Awana Skyway,the earlier built wire vehicle at Genting Highlands.
